Star Shredders is a story driven shooter where players can embark on their campaign. Play as Clash a Royterian Pilot served with protecting the planet from an imminent attack planned by the elusive General Greet and his forces. She finds herself in the middle of an interstellar war between factions, each with sinister secrets.

Load up on various different weapon types and power-ups against puzzling foes, powerful legions and boss battles that light up the screen!

Star Shredders is homage to the 90’s PSX/N64 era with fast gameplay and an intriguing story that keeps you blasting on!

Inspired by the aesthetics and gameplay of the 90s from Rail Shooters like Star Fox 64, Panzer Dragoon to the arcade stylings of Ikaruga, R-Type and Space Invaders.  The dark cyberpunk worlds of Metal Gear Solid, Policenauts, Oni, G-Police and other classics were empowered into Star Shredders own ingenuity. Character progression and story was inspired by character progression in games like Star Fox 64, Final Fantasy VII & Xenogears  but also cues from Akira, The Matrix, Ghost in the Shell and more to not only show an immersive story of action but undertones that speak to corruption, technology and heart. 

Star Shredders is currently released on Steam for Early Access for Windows/MAC.

EPISODES

Game World

We plan to complete major updates in the forms of levels so players can experience each update episodically until our journey is told completely.

This enables us as developers to release fixes to bugs and major updates to the engine whilst giving players a new setting, new mechanics and ways to play each level. We will also introduce different modes so you can replay the game for secret objectives, scores and achievements along the way whilst we update the graphics, performance and build quality to keep the game fresh.

Roytera is the first world we visit on our adventure but we have four other planets to traverse in the system, each with their own wonder and dismay as the Great War continues. The other four locations we visit are the space path in between each planet. This will not be an easy feat as the Iron Faction fleet have embargoed travel between the planets, destroying all that try pass.

We plan to port Star Shredders on the following platforms so our indie game can be accessible to as many players we can reach. We plan to introduce new mechanics and functionality to keep each port fresh whilst ensuring the narrative is presented in the optimised way for each device.

We fund the game solely by ourselves and use all income from sales back into the development to continually improve. Our passion to continue can be tests but each day, we continue to transform an early HTML5 test into a fully- fledged title for players across the world. By taking players’ feedback and thoughts into our development streams, we are ensuring the games quality, mechanics and immersion are completed to the satisfaction of our players so our journey together is told the right way!

Ultimately, we want to service a game from a genre of rich heritage and arcade appeal with a tale that goes past the bounds of play and truly inspires each player with their own creations.
